On Saturday 26th July 2008, the so-called Muddy AfFair will take place in The Game Fair Theatre and include a tongue-in-cheek countryside dating show, starting at 5.00 pm, followed by a singles-themed drinks party from 6.00 to 7.30 pm.
The dating show is to be a light-hearted affair, with a number of country-minded contestants vying for the attention of our male and female pickers. At the end the pickers will each choose a lucky contestant to accompany them on a double date, and the four of them will then be whisked off to a nearby hotel for dinner.
Following on from the dating show, the drinks party is for all the contestants, the audience and for anyone who fancies rounding off a cracking day with a nice drink and a chance to meet some like-minded country people.
Singles and non-singles...everyone is welcome to come to both the show and the drinks party, but there will be a fun and unique singles twist to the drinks party to make it easier for any singles to spot and approach other single people. Whether people come alone, or in a group, it promises to be a really fun end to the day for anyone visiting The CLA Game Fair on the Saturday.
Tickets for the show and drinks party cost £10 if ordered before 18th July and £15 thereafter. Tickets for just the drinks party can be bought on the door for £10. Single, fun-loving country people can apply to take part in the dating show (closing date 11th July).
For anyone who fancies something a little smaller and more intimate, Muddy Matches will also be hosting Straw Bale Speed Dating at their stand on all three days (25th, 26th and 27th July 2008). Sponsored by Sloe Motion, the sessions will last approximately one hour and include a free drink and one week's subscription to Muddy Matches.
