CLA strengthens membership team in the SouthThe Country Land and Business Association (CLA), which represents owners of land, property and businesses in rural England and Wales, has announced the appointment of the new Southern Region membership team based in the South East.The CLA is strengthening its membership team in line with its new structure which includes new advisors in agriculture, housing, and a larger Parliamentary and European affairs team. Julian Rowlandson has been appointed to the post of Southern Region Sales Director. Julian has a strong and diverse background in senior level sales and marketing having worked at Dudley Stationary, Ramesys, Leading the Way and Expand International. Commenting on his appointment, he said: "I am really looking forward to the challenges that this appointment gives me. The work of the CLA is so important and the opportunity to use my experience to create and develop this new role and team is one that excites me greatly." James Mulleneux has been appointed as Territory Manager for Kent, Surrey and Sussex. James, who owns a farm in Sussex, has a wealth of experience in rural organisations following more than 18 years with the National Farmers Union. Commenting on his appointment he said: "The CLA is a great organisation which is vital to ensure that the voice of land and rural business owners is heard. Being part of the CLA membership sales team is an exciting prospect at a time when there are some major challenges for rural areas." Naomi Fry has been appointed as Territory Manager for the Central Southern region. A farmer's daughter from Wiltshire, Naomi has a wealth of experience in rural issues and in particular consumer and B2B sales having worked for The Co-operative Group, Reeve the Baker and most recently SatCom Global. Regional Director for CLA South East, Rupert Ashby, said: "We are delighted to welcome Julian, James and Naomi. I feel sure that Julian's senior sales management experience in industry will prove invaluable to the CLA, while the team's overall enthusiasm and knowledge of rural issues will be a benefit to existing and potential members." The membership team will be based in the South East office in Andover with the vast majority of their time spent around the regions meeting new and existing members. |

Please note that whilst the advisers are able to advise on a wide range of subjects relating to land ownership, they cannot act in place of a member's own solicitor, accountant, surveyor and tax specialist by, for example, drafting documents or corresponding on their behalf and may be precluded, by the rules of their own professions, from advising one CLA member against another CLA member in the case of conflict.
Solicitors Indemnity Fund . Solicitors in the CLA Legal Team are not covered by the Solicitors Indemnity Fund in relation to professional negligence in relation to any advice given by them.
