CLA Centenary 1907-2007
As the only organisation in England and Wales whose sole objective is to safeguard the interests of private landowners and rural businesses, we have two main functions - to exert political pressure and to provide the best advice and services for our members.
The CLA's north west team is based in the regional office, situated in the heart of the north west at Lane Farm, on the site of the Westmorland County Showground.
Our staff sit on many bodies throughout the region and respond in depth to consultations and on all rural issues.
We take every opportunity to talk face to face with the decision makers - so we can put your case to those who can make a difference.
We are here to help local members on a variety of topics including diversification, grants, rights of way, planning issues and dealing with bureaucracy.
If you have a problem or would like advice, simply contact the regional office - the sooner you call, the sooner we may be able to help you.
There has never been a more important time to benefit from being a Member of the CLA. If you are not already part of our active and growing organisation contact the regional office on 015395 67597 or email info.north@cla.org.uk and make the most of your assets.
Meeting Members
Our comprehensive programme of social and professional events is as popular as ever.
As well as the events listing on this website, see the regional pages in Landowner and Rural Business Magazine and watch out for inserts in Outlook North West, your quarterly regional magazine. If we have your email address details will also be sent via our regular enews bulletin. All events will also be listed in the CLA 2007 Events dairy, mailed to every Member at the end of February.
Full details and a booking form for each event will also be added to this website when available.
