Protecting your interests in the North

CLA North operates across Cumbria, Lancashire, the North East and Yorkshire. We support a wide cross-section of members, ranging from countryside enthusiasts to some of Britain's biggest and best-known farmers and estates, as well as an equally diverse range of rural businesses.

Heading up the team is Regional Director Dorothy Fairburn who has a lifetime's experience in rural affairs. Born and bred on the edge of the North York Moors, she worked for high profile organisations including Savills and the National Trust prior to joining the CLA team in 1998.

Dorothy is an influential member of the North's rural business community and, along with other team members, plays an active role on many influential committees and steering groups as well as responding to in-depth consultations on key rural issues.

Every week the team handles dozens of calls from members helping to solve a variety of issues from how to access Government funding right through to planning application queries and rights of way legislation.

In addition to this free personal consultancy, members also benefit from:

• Competitive deals on a wide range of services including insurance, travel, financial, healthcare and leisure
• Access to a variety of business and social events
• FREE subscription to the monthly CLA Land & Business magazine
• FREE subscription to the North's enews bulletin
• FREE tickets to the annual CLA Game Fair
• FREE listing in the national CLA Business Directory

If you care about the future of the countryside and want your voice to be heard, then contact CLA North today on: 01748 907070 or email: info.north@cla.org.uk
