Just 99 days to CLA Game Fair 2012 at Belvoir Castle

The CLA Game Fair - the world's largest game fair – will be back at Belvoir Castle, near Grantham in Leicestershire, this year from Friday, 20 July to Sunday, 22 July.

For the third time, the CLA Game Fair returns to the magnificent Belvoir estate to celebrate the countryside and showcase the importance of field sports and country activities to the rural economy.

Director Andrew Crawford said: "The CLA Game Fair is a firm favourite in the countryside calendar with 1,000 exhibitors and more than 140,000 visitors. It is recognised nationally and internationally as the biggest countryside event of its kind, promoting all aspects of a living and working countryside."

New attractions at the 2012 CLA Game Fair include the CLA Gundog of the Year, an open competition with the chance to win use of a Subaru Outlander for a year, and the first-ever Great British Championship of STIHL® TIMBERSPORTS®  - a chainsaw-wielding, lumberjack skills spectacular.

In Gunmakers Row, visitors will be able to get the latest shooting equipment and advice from leading gunmakers, campaigning organisations and retailers.

Highly skilled gundogs and their handlers will compete in world-class competitions and demonstrations in the International Arena.

The CLA Game Fair hosts the largest fishing event in the UK and includes 100 of the leading fishing retailers in the Fisherman's Village, and you can "try before you buy" in the rod testing area. Watch world-class experts compete in the International Spey Casting Championship and see demonstrations of game, saltwater, freshwater, sea, carp and coarse angling.

Hooked on Horses, for equestrian enthusiasts will include a mini-ring full of riding demonstrations, advice and displays.

Visitors can learn about birds of prey and the traditional art of falconry or have a bet on the ferret racing, and meet the hounds during their daily parade through the Main Arena.

The Kennel Club will be on hand with advice, nutrition and breed information, including on-site eye testing and micro-chipping services.

The CLA Game Fair is the place for rural business with leading professional firms, organisations and opinion formers attending. The Woodland Management, Renewables Theatre and Gamekeepers/Estate Management sections present the latest technologies, products and services for rural business and the CLA Game Fair Theatre hosts a series of topical debates on rural issues with Government ministers, MPs and celebrities.

Totally Food is a must-visit area for all food lovers and brings together some of the finest small, British food producers. Visitors can chat to the producers themselves or watch the celebrity chefs in the Cookery Demonstration Theatre.

Visitors can have a go at field archery, shooting, fishing, traditional craft making and falconry or try out the Land Rover 4x4 course.

For a more serene experience, people can visit the Elegant Gardens area for quality plant advice and inspiration from Chelsea Gold Medal winners.

The CLA Game Fair is an unrivalled shopping extravaganza, with more than 1,000 exhibitors from fine art galleries to gardening and fashion to fishing tackle. Exclusive names rub shoulders with firm country favourites like Hunter, Joules and the Country Living Pavilion.
