Herefordshire farmer tells Minister that RPA review must not be ignored CLA Deputy President Harry Cotterell today (Tuesday, 27 July 2010) told Farming Minister Jim Paice that last week's Post-2013 Review of the Rural Payments Agency (RPA) "must not just be another report on the RPA's failings that gets left on the shelf". Harry Cotterell, who farms at Garnons, near Hereford, said to the Minister at Defra's headquarters in central London: "We have had too many reviews in the past, from a variety of bodies that have come to very similar conclusions - but they were just ignored. "This time the RPA, and indeed Defra itself, must do better. Farmers have known for years how dire the situation has been. The industry cannot be expected to put up with any more delay." "It will be a difficult job, but we have great faith in his tenacity." |

Harry Cotterell, President of the CLA, owns and manages a traditional rural estate in Herefordshire. The main enterprises on the estate are cider fruit, mushrooms, chickens and arable. There is also a commercial forestry operation and a small shoot.

Solicitors Indemnity Fund . Solicitors in the CLA Legal Team are not covered by the Solicitors Indemnity Fund in relation to professional negligence in relation to any advice given by them.
