CLA strengthens local presence in Cheshire and North Shropshire

The CLA has appointed Richard Humphreys to an enhanced role as Territory Manager taking in the counties of Cheshire and North Shropshire as well as the Wirral. This gives the Association a invaluable presence on the ground at a time when, says Richard, "It has never been more important for farmers and rural businesses to belong to a strong membership organisation".

As well as an awareness of rural issues that comes from his work with CLA Wales, Richard brings over 30 years' experience in sales across a range of industries to the CLA's Midlands team.

He says: "The CLA gives members access to independent and impartial advice on a wide range of issues from its own professional advisory team. This includes lawyers, tax specialists, planning and rural economy experts and surveyors, some being based in the region with specialist local knowledge.

"The CLA also influences government policy at local, national and European level by arguing our members' case from a strong evidence base. We maintain a constant dialogue with key decision makers in order to protect our members' interests."

Solicitors Indemnity Fund . Solicitors in the CLA Legal Team are not covered by the Solicitors Indemnity Fund in relation to professional negligence in relation to any advice given by them.
