Throughout 2007 the CLA will be celebrating its 100th birthday with a series of events and initiatives. The centenary will explore how farming and landownership have developed over the past 100 years, and will look forward to the next century of land management

The Oxford Farming Conference marks the start of the CLA’s centenary celebrations where it is hosting a dinner on Wednesday 3 January. Charles Clover, Environment Editor of The Daily Telegraph will write a history of the CLA and its impact on the politics of the rural economy. The history will be serialised in the CLA members’ magazine throughout 2007.
